By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1.2 Identity Verification. Government-issued IDs, tax identification numbers, bank account details, BVN (Nigeria), or SSN/EIN (US) as required for verification and compliance.

1.3 Payment Information. Payment details are processed by our authorized providers (e.g., Stripe, Paystack). Reelpay does not store your credit card or bank details.

1.4 Advertising Data. When you connect ad accounts (Meta, TikTok, Google/YouTube), we may access spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, creatives, and related metrics.

1.5 Deliverables. Videos, images, and other creative assets uploaded by Creators.

1.6 Usage & Analytics Data. Cookies, pixels, and analytics tools (including Google Analytics and Mixpanel) to track usage, performance, and improve user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Account creation, profile management, and customer support.
  • Facilitating payments, processing transactions, and disbursing funds.
  • Fraud detection, security monitoring, and platform integrity.
  • Matching Brands with Creators and facilitating Orders.
  • Analyzing advertising performance and generating insights.
  • Training and improving our models, including anonymized AI analysis.
  • Sending marketing communications by email, SMS, or push notifications (you may opt out at any time).

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • Payment processors (e.g., Stripe, Paystack) for transaction processing.
  • Cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) for hosting and storage.
  • Advertising platforms (Meta, TikTok, Google) when you connect your accounts.
  • Analytics providers (Google Analytics, Mixpanel) to track performance and usage.
  • Investors, partners, and industry stakeholders in anonymized and aggregated form (not personally identifiable).

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Where required by law (e.g., under the GDPR), we process personal information based on the following legal bases:

  • Your consent.
  • Performance of a contract (e.g., fulfilling Orders, processing payments).
  • Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., tax reporting, fraud prevention).
  • Our legitimate interests (e.g., improving services, preventing misuse).

5. Data Retention

We retain your information as follows:

  • Ad platform data: Deleted or anonymized within 30 days after account disconnection.
  • Account data: Retained while your account is active and for 1 year after closure.
  • Payment records: Retained as legally required (e.g., up to 7 years for tax purposes).
  • Anonymized or aggregated data: May be retained indefinitely for analytics and benchmarking.

6. Data Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Object to processing or request restrictions.
  • Opt out of marketing communications.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

For transfers from the EU/EEA/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful mechanisms to ensure adequate protection.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect indicates your acceptance.
